Wisconsin Dells

Daddy had a convention at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells so we decided to tag along and take advantage of America's largest indoor water park. We were so excited to go swimming since it has been awhile since we've been in a real pool. No one told me that there would be cannons shooting water at us and water falls around every corner trying to douse us with water. Don't get me wrong I loved the water park. My favorite was the water guns where I got to shoot everyone else with water, but when it came to my head getting wet I wasn't thrilled to say the least. Lily on the other hand didn't care what part of her body got wet. She begged Daddy to go through the waterfalls while we floated down the lazy river, and she went down every water slide they'd let her on which was shockingly quite a few considering she isn't the tallest girl in the world. After a few hours Mommy gave me a gentle shove down one of the water slides...I smiled the whole way down, and managed to go down two more times on my own accord, but that was enough for me. I stuck to the swings and had a front row seat to Lily plummeting again and again down all the water slides. The life guards couldn't believe how fearless she was, and Daddy got quite a workout climbing all the stairs so many times. After all that fun we worked up quite an appetite and enjoyed a great dinner with a bunch of moose...literally. We had a fun few days, but we're glad to be back with Wrigs in our red house in Macaroni and Cheese (what we affectionately call Mequon)!

1 Year Anniversary

It has been officially one year since we moved into our home in Wisconsin. Not a lot has changed in our lives except for the fact that we've grown a few inches. The only changes to the house have been a new Franklin stove, a new swing set, and the removal of a 100+ year old Elm tree that sat right outside our front door. We know Mommy and Daddy miss Arizona, and it is sad to say that outside of a few friends, we don't remember much from our time there. We do remember much of the last year here in Wisconsin though, and hope to make many more memories with our family and new friends. We definitely feel at home here in our world!

Pumpkin Farm

Another beautiful day, another fun adventure. We decided to dress in our Halloween best and head to Germantown to visit Jim's Pumpkin Farm. We have no idea who Jim is, but his farm sure was fun. He had a giant corn maze that we liked so much we had to go through it twice. Lots of our friends were in the maze too like Mickey Mouse, The Cat in the Hat, and Elmo. They must have heard we were coming! There was a giant hay box...picture a sand box, but filled with hay. We got a little crazy in there so much so that Lily got hay in her pants and couldn't smile for pictures until Mommy got it out. We loved riding around in the wagon and picking out pumpkins. We of course started loading up the wagon with all the ones we could carry, but Mom explained that we only got to pick two each. We went for the smallest ones we could find, and then Daddy found a big one for us to carve. Mom picked out a few gourds to make it all look beautiful, and then we had to say good-bye to the pumpkin farm until next year. October is off to a spooktacular start here in our world!

Corny Critters

Today we enjoyed what is likely to be one of our last 80 degree days of the year. We've been asking Mom to paint again so we took it outside and created some corny critters. We're getting pretty good with a brush these days and stayed inside the lines (almost) all by ourselves. The hardest part was drawing a face. Lily was bitter over not getting to paint her critter pink so Mom let her draw a pink face and I of course picked orange. The circles for the eyes and nose weren't too bad, by the smiley face was tough for both of us. We did it though and after gluing on the arms and legs we were able to proudly display our works of art in the playroom. You may be looking at the next Picasso or Michelangelo here in our world!

Red and Blue Make Purple

Red and blue make purple...that was the lesson learned at zoo class today. I insisted upon having a purple horse, and there was no purple paint to be found so the nice teacher taught me that if I mixed red and blue together I would get purple. Genius! After class I got to choose the location for lunch again and of course I wanted a quesadilla. Daddy insisted we find a new place to go though which was fine by me as long as I got my quesadilla. We almost had a catastrophe when we found out the restaurant didn't have milk, and for those of you who know me, I LOVE my milk. I survived though because Daddy ordered me Horchata (rice milk), and it was yummy! Another successful class is in the books and the Spring schedule is out. It will be elephants for me and seals for Ryan.

Three Year Pictures - Take One

Here are the results of our first attempt at our three year old pictures. We have one month until the big day so be sure to expect more pictures...same kids just a different location...you know the drill.

Rivalry Weekend

This weekend is huge in our family...Bears vs. Packers...boys vs. girls. We may have to wait for Monday night for the actual game, but Lily and I decided to make a whole weekend out of it starting today by wearing our respective jerseys. We got a lot of stares while out on the street, but no comments. People probably thought Mommy was crazy for dressing her kids like that. We tried to explain to Mom that our teams are #1, but we had a little trouble getting the right finger up. Lily made fun of me because #2 beats #4 so I just did what came naturally, I tackled her. Good thing she thought it was funny because Dad said she won't be laughing on Monday night! I think we'll both be crying though because Mom and Dad are going to the game without us. I guess life is not always fair here in our world!

All Aboard

Today, Dad took me to another zoo class all about the zoo train! We made train costumes, whistles, and mobiles all while learning about shapes. The class included a ride on the zoo train which just happened to be next to the merry-go-round so I convinced Dad that a ride on that would be good too. Afterwards, I got to pick where to go for lunch, and without much thought I chose The Pancake House. I just love breakfast for lunch!!! I didn't think anything could beat the amount of fun I had at my first zoo class when we learned about pigs, but this little Rhinoceros was saying choo-choo all the way home!

When in Rome...

...do what any two year old would do. After bath, Mom always sends us to our rooms in our towels so that we can get our pajamas on. Today, we had a few extra minutes before bed so she decided to leave us in Lily's room while she picked up a bit. The result of leaving the two of us unsupervised for a few minutes was a parade down the hall with only a tutu and a drum on, which even involved the dog wearing a tiara for a brief moment. I had to end the parade early due to my need to use the bathroom. You could say I am officially potty trained when naked, but Mom said unfortunately I need to master the skill while fully clothed. In my opinion that is what diapers are for and potty training is highly overrated. There is never a dull moment here in our world!

Privacy Please

Decisions, decisions...and our decision is that we have decided to make our blog private. We relish the fact that so many people are interested in our lives, but we've decided that we'd like to know exactly who these people are. If you would like to remain a follower please email Mommy or post a comment here with your email so that we may add you to our list. We ask that you respond by September 18 so that you don't miss out on the Adventures of Silly Lily and the Ridiculous Rhinoceros!
