Stronger Together

 This afternoon we had our annual showcase, our first real run through of our company dances on the big stage. There were a few hiccups and nerves, but we put on a great show. Only a few more weeks and the competition season begins!

3 1/2

3 1/2 is a pretty big deal in the life of a preschooler who just happens to have a summer birthday, because the 1/2 birthday is the day the school chooses to celebrate that child. Well, today was Max's day (he'll be 3 1/2 on Saturday) and he lived it up! Both Mom and Dad got to go to school with him, he alone was special helper for the day, and he got to share pictures and a book with the whole class.  He took his trip around the sun 3 1/2 times while everyone sang, he blew out 3 1/2 candles, and he got to pick out a necklace which he proudly wore all day. He of course picked out the one with the most bling. What a fun morning it was, and what a special way to celebrate Max!

Student Choreography Competition

Lily and her friend, Kallie, competed in their dance studio's student choreography competition today. They were kind of a last minute entry only really putting a dance together this week. The music wasn't even cut until 12:30 today, and the competition started at 1pm. They pulled it off though and won! I think all of the judges appreciated their taking a risk and now they get to perform it again at the end of the year recital in May! They did spooktacular!

Brown Belt

I earned my brown belt in Tae Kwon Do today, and am one step closer to black belt.

3K...Still Going

Explorer, construction worker, scientist, investigator, singer, baker, logger, sledder, hiker, writer,  vegetable/fruit cutter, maple tree tapper, bird watcher, climber, listener, friend...just a few of the roles Maxwell has taken on in 3K this year. There is never a dull moment!
