Mother-Son Boy Scout Camping Trip

I've been looking forward to this trip for quite some time, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Mom and I headed out early Saturday afternoon and made the trek North to our camp. We were joined by around 20 other boys and their moms. We were busy outside all day hiking, sledding, and having snow ball fights. The dinner hour brought with it lantern making, peeling carrots for dinner, and making brownies (which were delicious!). After dinner we headed back out for a campfire and then before bed we organized skits to share with the camp. In the morning we enjoyed a quick breakfast and then pitched in restocking wood and cleaning up the camp. I was the only second grader that ended up attending the camp, but all of the 3rd and 4th grade boys took me under their wings. It was a great time with great friends and I can't wait for the next camping trip in the Spring!

First Reconciliation

We received the sacrament of Reconciliation today and confessed all of our sins...being that we are perfect children though we weren't in there for too long (wink!).

5-6

I'm refusing to give up, and have closed the gap to one tiny little tooth. It has been almost five months since there has been any activity in the tooth race, but today on my way to gymnastics, I shocked Lily and Morgan when my loose bottom tooth finally fell out. I am not like Lily, who will crank on any and all loose teeth until they fall out. I like to let things occur naturally and at their own pace so this little guy had been holding on for dear life for a few weeks now. Both Lily and I have a few wiggly teeth left so who knows, I may just take the lead here soon!
