Wrapping up 18 Months

18 months is coming to a close and Maxwell is chugging along. He is now starting to show fear by covering his eyes or sometimes his ears. He is signing please like crazy, but won't attempt to say the word. He says "help" a lot, but is fairly self sufficient when it comes to getting his wants and needs met. He typically just does it himself! He climbs up on everything and loves to knock things down - ALL BOY!

School Carnival

The annual school carnival has come and gone, and as in years past we scored lots of fun prizes. We promised Mom no fish this year, and we kept our promise, but we did manage to fill her purse with everything else we could buy with our tickets, including a cookie cake!

Paint Night

Mom and Dad had a little fun at Splash Studio in the Third Ward. Mom had purchased Dad a night of painting for his birthday and they finally made it there. We had doubts, but were pleasantly surprised by their painting skills!

Irish Roots

Dad recently took an ancestry test and was surprised to learn that he is a small percentage of British/Irish. We decided to take full advantage of our new found Irish roots and convinced Mom that we needed to celebrate with Shamrock Shakes!

Legacy Competition

My first official competition for Mini Company took place today at Bay Port High School in Green Bay. We took home a platinum award for techniques which is the highest you can get, and we got first place in our division. One of the the judges awarded us the "Most Fierce" award as well because of our sassy attitudes. Our studio took home the Sportsmanship Award too for the weekend! Academy of Dance Arts is amazing!

Cover Girl

Competition season begins today for this Cover Girl!

18 Months Old

A few days late, but Maxwell is 18 months old as of March 1. He pretty much thinks he runs the world, and there aren't many who can convince him otherwise. He thinks he is big enough for our booster seats, he thinks we should push him around in his makeshift throne (aka laundry basket), and he loves to climb into Mom's and Dad's bed and pull the sheets up around him. He always lends a helping hand when Mom empties the dishwasher, and he makes the best faces just to make us smile. He is saying more and more with Dada being his favorite word and what he calls most of the objects he encounters. He understands everything you say and can follow directions quite well. He has twelve teeth now and uses them to eat ALL the time! He is also growing upward and outward with his official stats from his doctors visit today coming in at:

height: 31.75" (25%)
weight: 27 lbs. 10 oz. (88%)
head circumference: 49.5cm (94%)

Final Pinewood Derby

This was my final Pinewood Derby and my best finish ever. I won fifth place overall for speed and was the fastest in my Den. My car was far from perfect after a little accident the night before with the paint resulted in some cracked wood and a lot of glue...long story! With a lot of help from both Mom and Dad we salvaged Bumblebee though and he did a fine job on race day!
