Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone!!! We are still a little too young to partake in all of the festivities, at least that is what mom and dad say, so here are pictures of us ringing in the New Year! We were passed out by 7:00 so dad took full advantage of the moment and made homemade pizzas. He better have saved some for us. He owes us after all, since he set the smoke detectors off not once, but twice. It scared my pants off, and Lily just thought it was funny.
As for 2008, our world was pretty good to us in our first full year. We don't have much to complain about, and only hope that 2009 is even better. We did come up with a few New Year's resolutions...try to use our words more often, learn how to share, and build a real snowman. Hopefully we'll succeed at all three! We wish all of you a happy and healthy 2009!!!

After a lazy day at home spent watching mom and dad take down all of the Christmas stuff, mom and I were playing on the floor, and she noticed another tooth which makes for nine. This one is on the bottom, and I must say that I am just cruising along now with this teeth thing. I don't think Ryan will ever catch me.

Christmas Afternoon 2008

Christmas this year was kind of crazy because it rained all day. What are the chances of rain on both Thanksgiving and Christmas when you live in Arizona...not good if you haven't answered yet, considering we get on average 306 days of sunshine per year. In the afternoon we got all dressed up and headed over to Uncle Larry and Aunt Pam's house. It was tons of fun because we got to play with all of Braden's Christmas presents. It was like double the Christmas! We ate tons of food, including our favorite stuffin muffins, and just relaxed. We hope all of you had as wonderful of a Christmas as we did and bring on the New Year!

Christmas Morning 2008

We slept in until 8:00 since we partied so hard the night before. After a great breakfast, mom plugged in the Christmas tree lights and took down the gate. We had free reign of the living room, and you should have seen the presents. After a few bangs on the piano we settled down to open our gifts. We got so much cool stuff...clothes, books, flashcards, a shape sorter, a see n' say, a sock monkey, a remote controlled car, a dancing Brobee (Yo Gabba Gabba), a guitar, and beanbag cars! We worked up a sweat opening all of those presents, and got to have a glass of orange juice to cool ourselves down. We made a face with each and every sip, but it sure was good. A huge thanks to Santa, mom and dad, and everyone else who found such great gifts for us. This whole Christmas thing is really as fun as everyone says it is! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Eve 2008

We started out the day just relaxing, with me in my robe, and Lily in her pajamas. After a long morning nap we had errands to run with mom, and then once dad got home from work the fun began. We headed over to the Deers' house for dinner and a gift exchange. It was as if things were planned just for us. They had our favorite dinner, manicotti, and they had stairs, which we both love to climb. Payton had Lily's name in the gift exchange, and she absolutely loved her Wonder Pets. Braden had my name, and I got my first Big Wheel. Daddy has to put it together yet, but I'm pretty excited to take a spin on it. We even got to stay up late and play with Jackson and Payton which was a ton of fun!

ASU Basketball Game

Daddy got us tickets to the ASU men's basketball game this afternoon. It has been awhile since we've been to a basketball game, and boy was it fun. We clapped a lot, and we even got in some dancing while the band played.

Monday Night Football

Lily here! I don't know how many of you can remember what you were doing on November 16th, but I sure do. I was cheering on the Green Bay Packers as they annihilated the Chicago Bears. Well, I'm ready to do it again, and I have my gear on this time (and no comments on Favre, I didn't jump off the bandwagon just because he went to the Jets). Ryan isn't cool enough to have any Bears gear so I guess that is one more plus for the Packers! GO PACK GO!!!

I have regained the lead. It is now 8-6. Today while hanging upside down, mom noticed some new teeth in my mouth. 1-2-3...that's right three new teeth. I guess that explains the grumpiness.

No More Bottles

Today we said good-bye to our bottles forever. We were only allowed to have a nighttime bottle since right before we turned one. Mom's rules, not ours, in case you're wondering. We were quickly supposed to lose our nighttime bottle as well, but then we postponed the inevitable by getting sick. The doctor was worried about dehydration so he said keep us on our bottles since we were comfortable with them and taking in good amounts of liquid. Well, we stayed sick for as long as possible (we're entering week 8), but mom and dad decided that Christmas break was it, we were losing our nighttime bottles. The result, not so least for tonight that is.

The Life of 13 Month Old Twins

We have been enjoying ourselves in our 13th month of life, and here are just a few things to prove that our world is so much fun!

We forgot to post our AquaDoodle picture. This thing is like magic and we love it! It is great for taking a quick water break too...just suck on the pen!

Dad is getting us ready for the baseball season a little early this year. I have this Cubs hat that finally fits me, but Lily seems to enjoy wearing it a little bit more than I do.

We love to walk, or should we say ride, around our neighborhood at night and check out all of the Christmas lights. There are so many streets to explore that we're probably going to be pretty busy for awhile.

Apparently they make a little thing called locks, for kids who like to open cupboard doors. Whoever invented those is silly; however, mom and dad rushed to install them on our cupboards once we started pulling out pots and pans. They were nice enough to leave one cupboard open though, and we love playing with all of the stuff in it. Sometimes we even empty it out and then climb inside the cupboard.

Lily here! For those of you who didn't know, mommy was a cheerleader in college. I decided I wanted to be just like her so I'm working on perfecting my form while doing a chair lift. I think it looks pretty good! Daddy needs to lock out his elbow though!
