Rivalry Weekend

This weekend is huge in our family...Bears vs. Packers...boys vs. girls. We may have to wait for Monday night for the actual game, but Lily and I decided to make a whole weekend out of it starting today by wearing our respective jerseys. We got a lot of stares while out on the street, but no comments. People probably thought Mommy was crazy for dressing her kids like that. We tried to explain to Mom that our teams are #1, but we had a little trouble getting the right finger up. Lily made fun of me because #2 beats #4 so I just did what came naturally, I tackled her. Good thing she thought it was funny because Dad said she won't be laughing on Monday night! I think we'll both be crying though because Mom and Dad are going to the game without us. I guess life is not always fair here in our world!

All Aboard

Today, Dad took me to another zoo class all about the zoo train! We made train costumes, whistles, and mobiles all while learning about shapes. The class included a ride on the zoo train which just happened to be next to the merry-go-round so I convinced Dad that a ride on that would be good too. Afterwards, I got to pick where to go for lunch, and without much thought I chose The Pancake House. I just love breakfast for lunch!!! I didn't think anything could beat the amount of fun I had at my first zoo class when we learned about pigs, but this little Rhinoceros was saying choo-choo all the way home!

When in Rome...

...do what any two year old would do. After bath, Mom always sends us to our rooms in our towels so that we can get our pajamas on. Today, we had a few extra minutes before bed so she decided to leave us in Lily's room while she picked up a bit. The result of leaving the two of us unsupervised for a few minutes was a parade down the hall with only a tutu and a drum on, which even involved the dog wearing a tiara for a brief moment. I had to end the parade early due to my need to use the bathroom. You could say I am officially potty trained when naked, but Mom said unfortunately I need to master the skill while fully clothed. In my opinion that is what diapers are for and potty training is highly overrated. There is never a dull moment here in our world!

Privacy Please

Decisions, decisions...and our decision is that we have decided to make our blog private. We relish the fact that so many people are interested in our lives, but we've decided that we'd like to know exactly who these people are. If you would like to remain a follower please email Mommy or post a comment here with your email so that we may add you to our list. We ask that you respond by September 18 so that you don't miss out on the Adventures of Silly Lily and the Ridiculous Rhinoceros!

Deceptively Delicious

Even though we are good eaters, and will eat almost anything you put on our plates, Mom is always trying to find more ways to get vegetables into our diet. It isn't that we don't like vegetables, it is just that we like trying new and exciting things. For this reason, Mom is on a Deceptively Delicious kick. We've tried a few recipes before, but this summer we have made quite a few things, with our favorite being sweet potato pancakes. Yummy in our tummy! Today, we pulled up our stools, and helped Mom bake chocolate chip cookies with chick peas. We also quickly volunteered to eat them as soon as the first batch came out of the oven. We know you are all grimacing right now, but trust us, they are pretty good..so good in fact that we asked for another. We love eating our veggies here in our world!

Big Shoes to Fill

Mom always tells us that in order to go outside we need to put shoes on. Being that we are such good listeners, we made sure to put shoes on before we headed outside today. Mom needs to clarify next time that she means OUR shoes.
