We're 2 1/2!

Today we turn 2 1/2. There will not be any cake, balloons, or birthday celebrations, just pictures to document how much we've changed in the last 6 months. A lot has happened in the 182 days since we turned two and we are growing up fast. Way too fast as some would say. Mom compares us to Spring where something new is popping up every day. We are the best of friends and the worst of enemies, and we wouldn't change things for all of the ice cream in Wisconsin. I love my sissy and she loves her rhinosaur. We love growing up in our world!

Lily's Many Faces

I love to pose for the camera if you cannot tell. Today I gave Mom a show of my many faces...happy, sad, mad, surprised, and confused. Mom tried to capture Ryan on camera as well, but all she could get was sad since he hates having his picture taken. How are you feeling in our world?

Pretty Pink Nails

We worked hard this weekend helping Pop Pop build our new swing set so I decided it was do something nice for Lily day today, and I had Mom paint my fingernails. I was a little scared at first, but after Mom did the first nail I realized there was nothing to be scared of and I loved it. Now my nails look like Gigi's and am ready to have my toes done so they can look like Mommy's. Being a girl is so much fun in our world!

Green Thumbs

Although we have a thousand flowers already in our yard, Mom decided we needed a few more so we have been planting flowers for the last two days. She let us pick out all of the flowers so we have a wide array of colors including pink and orange, our favorites. We even planted a tomato and strawberry plant. We didn't see any tomatoes or strawberries on them, but I guess we'll just have to trust Mom and have patience. We helped by digging in the dirt, watering the flowers, and by hauling away the weeds in our new miniature wheelbarrow. We managed to have some fun along the way, and I finally climbed the crazy tree in our front yard. I've been scared of it since the day we moved in, but today I discovered that it is pretty fun. We're discovering our green thumbs here in our world!

60th Anniversary

We drove down to Indiana today to celebrate Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Ruiz' 60th wedding anniversary. What that exactly means we aren't sure except for the fact that they were once a princess and a king (that's what we say about everyone's wedding picture that we see). We enjoyed the day and all of the sugar that came along with it. Needless to say we managed to stay up for the entire ride back home. We figured someone needed to help Dad stay awake. Parties and cake top the list in our world!

Helmets...So We Can Be Safe

We love to watch Dora so we decided to try out our new helmets so we can be safe, after all that is what Dora is always saying. It was another beautiful Spring Day here so we took full advantage of the sunshine and headed outdoors. We also got to try out our new sand toy that we received for our new sandbox that should be coming soon! Yippee! As for the helmets, they weren't so bad. I was dreading having to wear something on my head, but it really didn't bother me once I got it on. Good thing because now I can ride my scooter whenever I want. We love going super fast here in our world!

New Friend

Our new friend, Gracie, came to visit us today. It was so much fun having a girl around to play with. Not that Lily isn't fun and all, but all of our friends that we play with seem to be boys for some reason. Gracie's mommy is having a baby any day now too so I'm hoping for another girl, although both Lily and I predicted it would be a boy. Whatever it is we hope the baby comes soon so we can hang out with Gracie again. We love making new friends here in our world!

Opening Day

Mom and Dad took us to opening day at Miller Park today. We were so excited to go see a baseball game that we literally ran and bounced our way into the stadium. Once inside we took in all of the fine things Miller Park had to offer like popcorn, french fries, and hot dogs. We made it through 7 innings in our seats and then it was off to the Kid Zone to play for awhile. We both ran for the yellow slide, but after making it to the top, I chickened out and Dad had to come get me. I tried one more time, but just couldn't bring myself to go down the slide. Our final stop was to visit the Chorizo and Polish sausages, two out of five of Milwaukee's finest. I again chose to not participate, but Lily jumped in giving knuckles and high fives. It was a perfect day for baseball, and even though we're Cubs fans, we can't wait to go to another Brewers game. Baseball is great here in our world!
