Day 2 - Disney

Day 2 was all about the Magic Kingdom. We woke up early in order to be to the park by opening at 9:00am. After enjoying a ride on the monorail we were off and running. We barely made it into the park before we were greeted by none other than Minnie and Pluto. Then it was down Main Street where we were left speechless and we just took it all in. My keen eye caught Mary Poppins as we headed toward the castle, and then we were off to the teacups. In the morning we enjoyed a play with Belle, and then we split up with Lily heading over to Bibbidi Bobbed Boutique, and Dad and I heading over to Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. We joined back up to see Merida and have lunch, and then we were off again to hit a few rides and use our fast passes at Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and Peter Pan's Flight. We also discovered Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and that roller coasters are our new best friend. We can't wait to try out every single roller coaster Disney has to offer while we are here. We took a short break in the afternoon and headed back to the hotel for a bit. The rest was short lived though as we had tickets that evening to celebrate at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party where we were able to trick-or-treat in the Magic Kingdom. We changed into costumes (Luke Skywalker for me and Cinderella for Lily) and headed back to the Magic Kingdom where we were able to score a visit with Anna and Elsa and we managed to take a ride on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which was wicked!!! To end the evening we found a spot to watch Mickey's Boo To You Halloween Parade which was so cool because it is the one night all of the villains are brought out at Disney. The Magic of Disney was definitely alive and well as we survived nearly 15 straight hours without complaint, and all we could think of as we drifted off to sleep is that dreams really do come true!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Mom had promised me that if I was a princess for one more year for Halloween, she would let me get my hair, nails, and makeup done for the occasion. I'm a sucker for any beauty treatment so I happily obliged, but little did I know that I wasn't going just anywhere to have ll of this done, I was going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Cinderella's castle! When I found out I was so excited, and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the pampering. I even had pixie dust sprinted in my hair and they sent me home with all sorts of goodies including nail polish! The entire experience was magical!!!

Day 1 - Disney Springs

Day one brought with it just a taste of what was yet to come. We fought through exhaustion, which wasn't all that hard once we saw the swimming pool at the Contemporary Resort. We jumped in immediately soaking up all of the fun and games. For dinner we traveled to Disney Springs where we got our first experience of all things Disney. We shopped (Lego Store for me and jewelry for Lily), and we ate the most delicious meal at The BoatHouse. For dessert we celebrated the BIG 8 with the tallest, most scrumptious s'mores birthday dessert ever! After today we really were beginning to think we were at the most magical place on earth!
