The Heat is On

No school for Lily and I today and the summer temps are here for at least today which always leads to water play in our world! In this case it was followed by a bath for a dirty Max and then a trip to the grocery store.

MUPT Gala

Tonight Mom and Dad got to spend the evening helping to raise money for the Foundation for Physical Therapy at the Marquette University Physical Therapy Gala. Dad's work sponsored the event, and a few of the clinicians joined in on the fun!

ATA Tournament - Libertyville

Today I participated in the Girtons ATA Taekwondo Tournament in Libertyville, IL. I took home a first in sparring, third in traditional weapons, third in traditional form, third in combat sparring, second in creative form, and second in creative weapon. Not a bad for a day's work!

Digger

Maxwell got a new digger for his birthday this weekend and he loves it! He has spent the last two days digging through his sand box, and has been working so hard that he just had to show off his muscles.

Rocks Up the Nose

Shortly after Mom picked up Maxwell from school today he informed her that he had a rock up his nose. He later revealed that it was actually two rocks and that his teachers had told him not to stick things up his nose. Well, after a few shots of saline and some hard blows those little rocks came right out, and Maxwell may have learned that he should listen to his teachers!

Party Time

We did a combined birthday party for all three of us in September this year. Mom made my cake (DJ Marshmello) and Maxwell's cookies for his dump truck. Lily chose another route this year going with a Purple Door ice cream cake. Mom did write her name on it though so technically she made it! Almost every bite of cookies and cakes were gone by the time the party ended so I guess it was the perfect combination! We had fun with family and friends and loved when Lily's candles kept relighting themselves. No one knew they were magic candles which made it that much funnier, and Lily just kept blowing! Once the candles were out and Lily was served her slice, Ginger surprised her by smashing her face in her cake which she loved as well! We received our balloons from Grandma as well and Uncle B even flew in from Arizona for the special day so it was perfect!
