Pizza on the Farm

After a year away we were finally able to get back to one of our favorite places in New Holstein, pizza on the farm. The homemade pizzas and ice cream were delicious like usual, and we had a blast on a rare warm day. Hopefully there is more days like this to come!

Grandma Chia

Today we lost Grandma Chia. Our memories of her will always include her beautiful dolls, the fiercest and smallest dog ever - Snuggles, Florecitas, and us being lucky enough to be three of her 101 grandchildren (with Maxwell being number 100). What a crazy and amazing life she must have lived during her 89 years here. We will miss you Grandma!

Love Bug Zoo Class

Mom and I took "Love Bug" zoo class today. I got to climb like an ant, fly like a bee, drink nectar from a flower and dress up like a butterfly, and pet a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach. I had a buzztacular time!

Hip Hop, Ballet, Tap, and Modern

White Lotus Tournament

I competed in my first tournament today for Taekwondo. The White Lotus Tournament at Rising Dragon Martial Arts in Greenfield was a good starter tournament for me and I came away with a first place in forms and sparring, and a second place in weapons. My coach even bumped me up a level so I was competing against teenagers in some categories. It was nerve-racking and fun all at the same time, and I'm so glad I took the leap and decided to compete.

ADA Company Banquet

I had my end of the year banquet tonight for company. This is always a fun evening of reminiscing with family and friends, awards, dancing, and saying goodbye to our seniors. I took home a perfect attendance award for Hip Hop as well as an "ecstatic energy" award from Ms. Jackie, my hip hop teacher. She said I exemplified someone who always gave 110% with a smile on my face. It was a great year yet again and I can't wait to see what next year brings.

KAR Dance Competition

My last dance competition of the year was in Madison today. Our first two dances went off without a hitch, but our last dance challenged us as we had one girl go out just before we went on stage with a bloody nose and two perform at less than 100% for various reasons. We had to scratch our lift and improvise and formations were way off. Considering the snafus, only we knew what it was supposed to truly look like, and the judges must have thought we improvised nicely because we scored third in our category for Mission Impossible. We took a first in both our hip hop and modern categories which was great, and we had fun even though all three of my dances were squeezed into a 40 minute window. Crazy chaos is good for my soul though and it makes you sleep the whole way home!
