Bye Bye Summer

Summer is officially coming to a close as of this coming Tuesday and the weather looks like rain ALL weekend! We took advantage of today's sun to play outside ALL day. Bike rides, chalk, bubbles, scooters, swinging, rocking, you name it and we probably did it!

We All Scream for Ice Cream

For Maxwell's birthday he got an ice cream counter with all sorts of toppings from us. He has played with it multiple times a day since receiving it and even woke Mom up this morning with a 6 scoop cone! He wanted Mom and Dad to share it, but when he found out Dad was out of town he decided to eat Dad's portion himself!

Two Year Checkup - Maxwell

Maxwell had his two year checkup today and all seems to be going well. He came in at 29 pounds 7 ounces (66.67%) and seems to be holding fairly steady around this weight even though he keeps growing. Probably because he never sits still! He measured 34 inches (44.32%) which is progress! It makes sense now why so many of his pants don't fit anymore. His head circumference came in at 51cm..that brain keeps growing!!! There was only one shot today for Hepatitis A, and the good news is no more shots until kindergarten. After a few short tears from the shot we were out of there and hopefully won't have to return until next year!

Oh "Two"dles!

We've got ears! Say cheers to Maxwell turning two! We celebrated Maxwell today with a Mickey Mouse themed birthday party at North Shore Country Club. The Mickey Mouse balloon that was over 4 feet tall was the hit of the party and he couldn't take his hands off of it. Surrounded by family and Maxwell's Godfathers we enjoyed ice cream sundaes, Mickey Mouse cupcakes, swimming, and we can't forget the fruit platter that Max devoured all of the watermelon off of! Maxwell blew out his own candles this year and secretly enjoyed everyone singing to him. We missed Daddy as he was quarantined to his bedroom with Strep throat, but hopefully he is better for Maxwell's actual birthday on Wednesday.
