Pewaukee Beach

Today was perfect beach weather, and that is exactly what we did. We met our friends, Jack, Peter, and Nora, out at their place on the lake and spent all morning chasing fish and digging in the sand. You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!

Pool Party

What are two kids to do when their weekend plans fall though...pool party at Titi Molly's!!!
After a brief illness on Lily's part we thought our spur of the moment plans to head down to Titi Molly's may fall through as well, but she pulled it together just in time. We headed straight to the party right after breakfast on Saturday and we swam the day away. By the late afternoon my hands looked like raisins, and the only thing that kept us from getting back into the pool was our need to eat. We timed it well too because shortly after dinner Mom heard the magical sounds of the ice cream truck driving through the neighborhood and dessert was served. We've never actually experienced an ice cream truck before so it was quite a moment. Lily was in sheer awe of all of the different choices so much so that she couldn't speak, and I on the other hand couldn't contain my happiness. I proclaimed loud and clear to the ice cream man "This is my first time!" I quickly choose my nearly foot long Rocket Blast Pop and then jumped around on the sidewalk waiting for Lily to make her decision. After what seemed like an eternity, Lily choose the Bratz Pop that the ice cream man pointed at, and it turned out to be a perfect choice! Little did we know that it had gumball eyes, and Mom was nice enough to let her chew them even though we've never had gum before. That put a smile on her face! There was so much excitement to our day that we went to bed that night dreaming of nothing but swimming pools and ice cream trucks, which we can now list as two more of our favorite things here in our world!

Father's Day 2012

It was a beautiful day to celebrate Father's Day and celebrate we did. Since the day was all about Daddy he got to choose what to do so off to the beach we went with our friends the Eugenes. He couldn't have picked a better activity and apparently he was one of the smarter Daddies in town because we had the beach at Concordia all to ourselves for most of the afternoon. We had fun doing any and all things beach related. The water was freezing, but that didn't stop us from swimming. We built a sandcastle, collected rocks, and Daddy buried Lily in the sand. Fun and sun made for one great Father's Day here in our world!

Two Wet Rats

With no rain in sight, Mom decided to pull out the sprinkler today to give the lawn some much needed help. We seized the opportunity and decided to have a little fun with it, although I think Lily enjoyed herself a bit more than I did. I tended to keep my distance making sure not to get too wet, whereas Lily did quite the opposite.

Game On!

After only four short practices it was game time. Tonight we played in our first ever t-ball game, and even Lily admitted that she had fun! I gave it my all for the entire game chasing the ball down no matter which direction it went. Lily took note that I was always at the bottom of every pile, but that's just because I was the first one to reach EVERY ball. Lily managed to squeeze in some rest and relaxation between batters, and she posed for cute pictures every time she made it to third base, but she hit the ball and ran fast when it counted so that's all that matters. Mom, Dad, and Grandma Jackie surprised us with ice cream after our game, which may be the only thing that is better than t-ball here in our world (or at least my world)!

Sometimes You Just Have to Dance

Sometimes You Just Have to Dance pretty much sums up Lily's life, and today that is exactly what she did. After a school year of practice, Lily was finally able to perform on stage at Dominican High School in the Academy of Dance Arts recital. She hit every move, and made us all proud. I think she even impressed her teacher, Ms. Lindsay. Gigi, Pop Pops, and Grandma Jackie joined us for her special day and I can honestly say that I've never seen my sister happier.
