Gymnastics

\
For the past ten weeks my bestie and I have been perfecting our gymnastics skills.  I'm not quite ready for Rio 2016, but my legs are much straighter, and my toes are more pointed.  Here's to hoping for gold here in our world!

Water Time

Mom and Dad should know that if there is water, we will be in it!  Dad decided to water the front yard while he and Mom relaxed on the rocking chairs on the porch.  Before they could settle in Ryan and I came cruising out in full water attire ready for action.  Ryan even left his bike helmet on for added protection.

Adventures in Kenosha

Today was a fly by the seat of your pants kind of day as we cruised around Kenosha with the Lard family.  We started at the Jelly Belly factory in Pleasant Prairie, where we took the train tour around the factory.  We each scored a free bag of jelly beans upon departure, and by the smile on my face, Mom was pretty sure that I would be asking to take the tour daily for the rest of my life.  Afterwards, we headed to a local park where we played for awhile, and then we headed to Southport Park on Lake Michigan where we swam and climbed on the rocks for what seemed like forever.  We ended our adventures at Shirl's Drive In for some most delicious ice cream.  It was a day filled with good times and good company which can't be beat here in our world!

A Good Day for a Hike

This morning we officially became kindergartners after registering at our new school and getting our mug shots taken.  We are a tiny bit excited for school to start, but we'd much rather keep hanging out with Mom since we get to go all sorts of cool places.  Today, we ended up back at the Mequon Nature Preserve to see how much our corn had grown.  The picture on the right was taken on June 14.  Almost nine weeks later and the corn is almost as high as the clouds in the sky.  Unbelievable!!!  Wrigley got to join us on this adventure as well which is always fun here in our world!

Are You Ready For Some Football?!?!

We're back for another year of football, and we celebrated in grand style by heading to the first preseason game of the year at Lambeau Field.  Not that I care much for the Packers, but Lambeau Field is an experience in itself, and this year it is even bigger and better.  They built a new viewing deck right near our suite, which is the highest point in Green Bay.  The view was amazing, and we'll admit a bit scary because we were so high.  Lily's Packers lost the game, largely due to the fact that they looked "sick and tired" (those are her words not mine so no comments please).  My Bears lost as well so I can't make too much fun of her!  Regardless of the outcome, we both had a blast and we're counting down the days until November 4th.  That's Monday night football...Packers vs. Bears...for those of you who haven't figured out the significance yet.  Are you ready for some football?!?!

Safety Town

For two weeks this summer we spent a few hours each day with police officers from Mequon and Thiensville.  They taught us all of the rules of surviving life from scary stuff like fires and mean dogs to not so scary stuff like riding our bikes and crossing the street.  We practiced our skills in the fire safety house learning how to stay low and away from smoke, how to call 911 in an emergency, and how to safely climb out windows.  There are a lot of rules when it comes to life and now that we know them all we may just live forever here in our world!!!

Super Hero Powers

It's so bright, that we've gotta wear shades, and those are about all we're going to be wearing for a long time. Mom took us to see the eye doctor today for our kindergarten check-up, and the diagnosis was emmetropia, which is just a big word for normal vision. The doctor said we were both seeing around 20/15, which is near the range of super hero powers! There is no concern regarding color blindness either. Apparently we both acquired Mom's eye sight, and now we're beginning to wonder if Mom really is Wonder Woman...hmm???
