Gingerbread Houses

First up on the Christmas traditions checklist this year, Gingerbread Houses. We headed to the Milwaukee Athletic Club tonight where Ryan and I spent almost an hour decorating our houses.

15 Months - Maxwell

Maxwell turned 15 months old yesterday! He was able to delay his 15 month checkup by one day, but inevitably he had to go to the doctor, and he was not too happy about it. The minute the nurse walked out he froze refusing to walk into the office himself. He then screamed for every little thing - getting measured, getting weighed, having his ears checked...the list goes on and on. He came in at 26 pounds 9 ounces (92%) and 30.75 inches (33%). He is finally crawling back up the growth chart, and the nurse even said she probably could have squeezes another quarter inch out of him, but she didn't want to make him too angry. His head measured in at 50cm (99%) so his brains just keep on growing too! Everything else checked out well, and Dr. Hagerman managed to get the tiniest smile out of Max when he pulled out his glitter balls to juggle. He is starting to use words saying dup/bop for up, mama, dada, Dy for Ryan, and he imitates multiple things. He still uses signs for more, eat, all done, milk, and thank you. He also shakes his head yes and no, with no seeming to be the favored direction. We ended the visit with two vaccines which left Max in a blubbering mess. He survived though and won't have to go back for three more months, unless he manages to get himself into trouble.

Steve's Traveling Snake Show

Ryan's Cub Scout Pack had a pack meeting tonight and invited a special guest to join them. Steve's Traveling Snake Show entertained the kids for over an hour, and although Ryan refused to hold a snake by himself, he did muster up the courage to touch one. He admitted that the presentation was pretty cool, but he just isn't a reptile guy.

Blessed

We celebrated Thanksgiving with family in New Lenox this year. We are so blessed to have Daddy here to celebrate with us. Great Grandma's taquitos, Titi Maria's turkey, and being with our extended family sure beat last year's hospital Thanksgiving too.

Spoons

Maxwell has been working on spoon feeding, and you would never believe it after looking at this picture, but he is doing pretty good!

Line Him Up

Maxwell had his first haircut today at Follicle in the Third Ward. He joined Daddy and me and was very intrigued when we were in the chair. When his turn came around though it was a different story. He sat nicely on Daddy's lap, but he repeatedly pushed and shoved Marco's hands away while screaming in protest. We were going to have him buzzed, but after the battle he emerged with clean lines and a trim on top! We'll consider it a win for everyone!

Dancer of the Month

Look who got dancer of the month in my mini company class! My teacher, Ms. Lindsay, chose me for my dedication, teamwork, and commitment.
