18 Months Old

We are 18 months old today and still loving everything about our world! We spent the day with mom and dad doing a little grocery shopping and making a run to Target...you know same old stuff we usually do. We did go out for dinner with Uncle Larry, Aunt Pam, and Braden though, and had some yummy ravioli at NYPD Pizza. Mom also discovered that Lily is getting two more teeth. I give up, I'll never beat her. We hear that tomorrow we have to go see Dr. Mike which we aren't too happy about. We'll let you know how that goes later.

Freestone Park

Today we went to one of our favorite places in the world...Freestone Park. We took Grandma Gladys and Pop Pops to feed the ducks and run around. I did most of the feeding with Grandma and Lily did most of the running with Pop Pops. Afterwards we went to Flancers for a yummy lunch and our waiter gave us free goldfish crackers while we waited for our food. What a nice guy! Then it was time for everyone to head back home to take much needed naps.

Easter Brunch

Easter brunch was great...not that we had any doubt. We ate so much food even I had to say "all done". After brunch we headed over to the fountain at the Arizona Grand Resort. Mommy and daddy told us that this is where they got married, although at the time it was called the Pointe South Mountain Resort. Mommy even told us that she jumped in this exact fountain once...she must be crazy because the water was awful chilly. We were able to take some great pictures with Grandpa Rivera (or "pop pops" as we call him), Grandma Gladys, Titi Molly, and Uncle Craig. Everyone is looking good in our world!

Easter Morning

We woke up early this morning and mommy and daddy explained to us that the Easter Bunny had left us each an Easter basket. We aren't quite sure what that's all about, but we have to say he left us some pretty fun stuff. We each got singing and dancing bunnies, a book, a chirping chick, bunny ears, and Easter eggs filled with Crunchies. Lily was really scared of the crinkly paper in her basket so she wouldn't go near it, but once mom pulled everything out for her things were just fine. My favorite thing was the Crunchies...I think I ate all three eggs full of them. I still don't understand how all of these people know what our favorite snacks are??? Lily liked the dancing bunnies the most, and I think she learned a few new moves. After all of the fun I took some time to do some much needed push ups to work off all of the Crunchies I ate. Dad said that after nap we get to get all dressed up and go out for brunch. More food...our world is the best!

The Townhouse

So we've been staying at our Grandpa and Grandma Rivera's townhouse since we moved out of our house in March. It is a little tight, but we're surviving and enjoying every square inch of the place. We especially love the patio since we can sit and enjoy our new favorite drink, a smoothie.

San Diego

We took our first major road trip this past weekend and spent four days in San Diego with the Rivero family. We enjoyed the cooler temperatures (60's for our friends in Phoenix) and spent most of our time running barefoot on the beach. It was great because our condo was right on the boardwalk so we got to watch all of the people running and biking by, and we woke up every morning to the waves crashing on the beach. We did make it to the San Diego Zoo on Saturday which was a blast. I of course visited my relatives the rhinoceroses, but we also saw gorillas, giraffes, flamingos, and bears. You name it, we probably saw it; except for Lily that is...she fell asleep for her favorite animal - the elephants. The best thing about the trip was just being outside. Mom brought a cool bubble machine along and we chased bubbles on the patio, dad tried to teach us how to build a sand castle, and we even got our feet wet in the freezing cold ocean. I didn't enjoy that so much, but chasing the seagulls on the beach was cool! Every night we got to say night-night to the sun while we enjoyed a cold glass of milk. Lily and I got to have breakfast twice each morning too. Mom would feed us first, and then after Braden woke up we'd get to eat off of his tray, or we just made our way onto Aunt Pam's lap and enjoyed her eggs. Things couldn't be any better in our world!
