Frosty Returns

Sometimes wishes do come true! We've been wishing for some good old snowman building snow all winter, and last night our wish came true, six inches of true as a matter of fact. We headed outside first chance we got and dove head first into anything and everything winter. We shoveled a bit with Mom, went sledding on our hill (and decided we're ready to try out a real hill now), cleaned off our swing set, and then we built HIM! Frosty promised he'd return again, and although he came back a bit smaller this year, he looks as great as ever. He even got a new eyes, nose, hat, and buttons thanks to Grandma Jackie. We found a great mouth and arms for him in the woods, and Wrigley only tore his arm off once this year which is an improvement over last year. We're hoping Frosty survives the weekend since we heard it is supposed to warm up. At least we know he keeps his promises so he'll be back again some day!!!

Mardi Gras

Today at school we celebrated Mardi Gras by making cool masks and necklaces. We then surprised our parents by sneaking out the back way and parading to pick up with our masks on. They were so surprised!

SNOW!!!

We have been so antsy this winter with little to no snow. We're lucky if it sticks around for 24 hours with how warm it has been, and we're pretty bummed that we haven't been able to build a snowman. We decided enough was enough and we headed a mere three hours north to the cottage to experience the joys of winter. Our weekend was filled with snowmobile and sled rides, snow angels (and a few belly angels courtesy of Lily), and lots of fun on the frozen lake. Uncle Steve and Elizabeth joined in on our fun as well joining us for part of the weekend. We played beauty salon and "puppies and bunnies" (ask Uncle Steve). We of course made it to the candy store where Elizabeth introduced us to push pops. So sticky, but so worth it! Lily also had the important job of taking care of Elmer the elephant for the weekend. We can't wait to share what we did with him tomorrow at school! We may not have been able to build a snowman, but our trip up north was so worth it!

You Make My Heart "Glow"

We've been anticipating Valentine's Day for a few weeks now. After much careful thought and deliberation we both decided on the exact same Valentine. We wrote our name on every one and tried to help Mom tape on the glow sticks. This didn't last long though due to us snapping the first 10 glow sticks we tried to put on. With our Valentines ready to go we headed to school this morning ready to celebrate! It is amazing what we came home with too considering we only have 16 kids in our class. We also brought home special Valentines for Mom and Dad that we made (heart magnets). The holidays just keep getting better and better, and with only a few weeks until St. Patrick's Day we have to get ready!

Love and Lemonade

Another year, another birthday for Daddy! This year instead of cake, Daddy choose a giant cookie which in our opinion was an excellent choice! We slaved all day on Friday (with a little help from Mom) baking a giant cookie, and then we worked just as hard today trying to eat it all. In addition to the cookie we gave Dad a gift that let's him know just how much we love him. We had fun answering all sorts of questions all about Dad, and although our answers varied, the two things we could agree upon were that WE LOVE OUR DADDY and HE LOVES LEMONADE!

Remember Way Back When...

Remember way back when we were three (or two, or one, or babies).... This is what we always say to Mom when we are telling her stories, and for some reason it always makes her laugh. Well, tonight we were able to pull this line out as Lily and I were showing a baby friend of ours how to use the play gym. It really isn't all that complicated, but since we are so old now we thought we'd help her out in case she had any questions. From the looks of it I'd say we did pretty well! Remember way back when...
