The Fourth Of July

We waited all day for the rain to stop so that we could go outside and celebrate the Fourth of July, but that never happened. Instead, we found lots of ways to entertain ourselves in the house and garage. We had a blast trying to eat bubbles with Titi Molly, and we practiced our gymnastics skills with her too. Uncle Craig set up my choo-choo track, and I think he secretly had as much fun as I did playing with it. Gigi let me play dominoes with her, and Titi Maria bought us big kid underwear which we decided to wear on our heads. Guess what, mine was even Thomas the Train underwear so this potty chair thing isn't looking so bad after all. Mom and Dad bought us balloons to play with, and everyone, including Great-Grandma Ruiz, or Great Gigi as we like to call her, wanted to squeeze us. The squeezing we could do without, but we loved all of the attention everyone gave us, and we can't wait to do it again next year. Unfortunately we didn't stay up long enough to see any fireworks, but we heard them all day long, which is good enough for us. Boom boom from our world!

Just Another Day in Our World

Nothing too exciting has happened in the last week or so. Dad is now in his second week of work at his new job, and although he is busy, from what we can tell he is pretty happy. Mom and Dad made their first trip up to Milwaukee to look for a new house for us. We are kind of getting used to the idea of living with Gigi and Pop Pop, but I guess a house of our own would be nice too. It was our first time away from Mom and Dad, and I think we did pretty well. We did punish Mom on Monday morning though by hanging all over her and whining just to let her know not to sneak out on us next time. Other than that we've just relaxed this week. We took a walk and discovered a new playground, we played outside with our thousands of toys, we ran errands with Mom, and apparently Lily discovered Mom's eye liner. She better pay attention next time Mom puts it on though...unless she is going for the crazy cat look?!? Well, we're off to just continue being cute in our world.

Gymnastics

Today Titi Molly and Mommy brought us to our first gymnastics class. We were a little hesitant at first, but Titi Molly and Mommy made us try everything, and boy are we glad they did. We had so much fun! My favorite part was the giant trampoline, and Lily loved doing somersaults all over the place. Mommy didn't get any pictures while we were there because we didn't stop moving, but hopefully she'll get some next time while we're jumping around in our world!

The Sun Does Shine in Illinois

It's been raining a lot since we arrived in Illinois, but today the sun peeked out just long enough for us to enjoy a yummy popsicle.

A Day In Our World With Pop Pop and Gigi

We've been staying busy with Pop Pop and Gigi. If you're wondering who Gigi is, it's Grandma Gladys. We just can't seem to say Grandma Gladys for whatever reason so the ladies at Grandma's work came up with a new name for us to call her. Pop Pop and Gigi bought us cool cozy coupes, and we love them. They also got us some miniature lawn chairs so we can kick back and relax with the family. After a long day, we enjoy soaking in Gigi's tub. We have our own bathtub upstairs, but Gigi's is so much better. It is like our own spa. It has jets, and there's even a TV above the tub so we can enjoy a few Disney shows while we refresh. Gigi got us new towels too so we're set. Things couldn't be much better in our world.

Round 3 - Illinois

Today our journeys brought us to Illinois for round 3 of 4 of our move to Wisconsin. We left Grandma Jackie's early Thursday morning, stopped off to do a little shopping in Pleasant Prairie, and then arrived at Grandma Gladys' and Pop Pop's house in the mid afternoon. Mom's car was packed tight with all of our stuff. Good thing mom and dad left enough room for us.

There Is A Heaven

I decided today that if heaven were a toy store it would only have Thomas the Train. I sort of have a little, okay let's say huge, infatuation with Thomas. He's only the coolest toy I have seen in my entire life. I realize that I'm only 19 months old, but trust me, I've seen a lot of toys in my time. Since Grandma wasn't willing to give up her Thomas set, she decided to take me shopping to start my own set. I emphasize the word start here too, because after seeing everything available I have to again remind everyone that I do still have a birthday and Christmas coming up this year. My world is great with Thomas the Train! Thank you Grandma!

Ring Around The Rosie

Mommy taught us how to play Ring Around the Rosie today. We didn't always fall at the right time, but Mom didn't seem to mind. We kind of liked pushing her over anyway when she'd try to help us up.

Keeping Grandma Busy

Mommy warned Grandma Jackie that we don't sit still and that we get into everything. We aren't sure if she believed her or not, but we proved Mommy was right, and we showed Grandma everything we could get into while staying at her house. We have acquired quite a few toys from our cousin, Elizabeth, while here, which I'm sure Daddy will be thrilled about. We've put all of them to good use though so that's all that matters. My favorite thing at Grandma's house is her Thomas the Train set. All I have to say is, my birthday is coming up in October everyone! Lily loves the potty chairs. Not only do we have Grandma's, but Mommy ordered both of us one so we now have three. That's a lot of potties if you ask me, but Lily is loving potty time in our world!

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary

We got to feed the ducks today at the Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay. Mommy told us that she used to go here as a kid, but it was a lot different back then. We had lots of fun sitting on the rocks and it was another beautiful day to be outside in our world.

Potty Time

Lily here. I have big news...I went potty on the big girl potty today! I've been telling Mommy for a few months now whenever I'm dirty, and I tend to do my business in private (usually behind a chair or in another room). Well today, Mom and Grandma decided it was time to give the potty chair a try. Grandma even cleaned up the antique potty chair that Mommy, Uncle Robb, and Uncle Steve used so it was a big occasion. I felt like a princess on my little throne and of course I ate up all of the attention. Ryan didn't seem to care much, but I guess that just means more potty chair time for me!

Garage Sale Bargains

Mom and Dad weren't frequent visitors of garage sales while we lived in Arizona, and after today we were asking "Why not?" It was near 80 degrees today and there were so many garage sale signs out that Grandma Jackie couldn't help herself so we ended up visiting a few. We're glad we did because we got a cool new rocking horse, some blocks, and a booster seat to use at the cottage for dirt cheap! Garage sales are good in our world!
