Life of Harley

In between the 18+ hours that Harley sleeps every day we've manage to get little glimpses into his giant personality. We've discovered he loves his reflection, eating (everything), tug-o'-war, playing chase, water, and being outside. His dislikes include anything loud like garbage trucks and pianos, but he is quickly getting used to the fact that we are not a very quiet family. All of the excitement must tucker him out because more often than not you'll find him sleeping just about anywhere.

Hello Harley

Sorry for the cuteness overload, but we just can't help ourselves when it comes to our newest family member. It has been nearly eight months since Wrigley passed away, and we can't tell you how many times we've commented on just how empty the house is without him. We understand that Wrigley can never be replaced, but we also understand that we have a lot of love left to give to a new furry friend so with that in mind we proudly introduce to you (drumroll please)...Harley! At seven weeks old (DOB: 5/2/16) he is the definition of cuteness, and we couldn't be anymore in love! We'll admit the decision was tough as we had to choose between him and another feisty yellow lab male, but his temperament won us over and just like that he was OURS! He quickly made himself right at home tonight and managed to score himself a place on Mom's lap for the ride from Madison to Milwaukee. He made it through the first night in his kennel as well without much complaint and has enjoyed exploring the house and yard. We know it has been less than 24 hours, but for now we'd say it is a perfect fit! Welcome to our world little Harley!

Summer Adventures

The first full week of summer is under our belts, and what an eventful week it was. I am wrapping up baseball with only 3 weeks to go. I am thoroughly enjoying catching this year, and just maybe have found my calling. Lily started summer gymnastics this week as well, and both of us partook in track and field camp. We competed against kids in 2nd-5th grade, and both of us scored a few ribbons placing in events like relay, high jump, hurdles, the 200M, and 400M. Track and field was way more fun than either of us anticipated, but the 8:00 start time every day wore us out. It will be wonderful to sleep in tomorrow, but we can't wait for more adventures this summer!

See Ya Later Second Grader!

We had another good run this year and now it is time to close the book on second grade. It was a great year that had way more ups than downs, and again we each had the perfect teacher! We're not sure things could get much better here in our world, but we're excited to give it a go as we move on up to THIRD GRADE!!!
