Selfie

Maxwell is mad about selfies and will often bring you Mom's phone so he can take one. This time he was lucky enough to get Mom in one!

Weekend at Titi's

Mom took us to Titi Molly's for the weekend where we played with cousins, the girls got their nails done, and Maxwell scored an awesome car!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Maxwell picked out his own shirt this year to wear for Valentine's Day, and we wouldn't have expected anything but his favorite mouse. We celebrated with parties (and candy) at school and then dinner (and dessert) with the family at North Shore. What's not to LOVE?

Company Lock-In

I had my Valentine's lock-in for company this weekend followed by a birthday sleepover for one of my teammates. My big sister and I surprised each other with gifts and she got us these cool matching shirts! It was a fun and crazy night and now it is time to put our game faces on as competition season is just around the corner!

The Life of a 17 Month Old

At 17 months, Maxwell sure is enjoying life. He plays hard and sleeps hard. There are drums to bang, baths to take, cookies to eat, buckets to climb in, and when you are really lucky there are suckers which make you drool. All in a days work!

King of the Selfie

Maxwell is slowly turning into the King of Selfies as he much prefers being on that side of the camera...he even managed to squeeze Mom into this one!

Haircut #2

We celebrated Daddy's birthday this year with Daddy and baby haircuts. Maxwell had grown wings on all sides so he was due for a trim. He sat like a champion on Dad's lap and is now a handsome little dude!

Shovelers

We are lucky to have someone plow our driveway every time it snows, but unfortunately they don't do sidewalks! Since we are bigger and a bit more responsible, Mom offered us some cash to shovel for her. We were definitely up for the challenge as money is always welcome...anyone need a shoveler?!?!

Mother-Son Campout

Mom and I braved the snowstorm and headed up to Camp Silverbrook tonight to enjoy my last year of the Mother-Son Campout for Cub Scouts. We made our own pizzas, built fires in the snow, and took a moonlight hike. Being that we are the oldest scouts now, we were also in charge of organizing the skits. Fun was had by all, and we were able to go out with a bang!

Screen Time

Maxwell loves the iPad, iPhone, tablet, anything with a screen and buttons pretty much...he also loves just chillin' with us while we play!

Taxi Driver

Big sissy somehow persuaded Mom to let Maxwell ride in the taxi car at Metro Market today. This will most likely be his only ever ride in such a cart as Mom despises them due to their ginormous size a poor handling. Maxwell loved every moment though taking both steering wheels in his hands. He even scored a cookie from the cookie lady who thought Mom was our nanny or big sister. Silly cookie lady!

Chicago

With no school on Friday and Dad just a few hours away we packed up the car and headed to Chicago for a few days! We visited the Field Museum which had a little bit of something for everyone - the Hall of Gems for me, inside Ancient Egypt for Lily, and animals galore for Maxwell. We also took in the bean at Millennium Park, which Max thought was amazing! Maxwell's favorite part of the trip may have been the condo though at the Trump Tower. He explored every square inch of the place from the magnificent views to the cavernous tub. He especially enjoyed the glass front washer and the shower. All that fun tired him out though and he took full advantage of the king size bed being that he refuses to sleep anywhere but in his own crib. It was a short trip, but hopefully the first of many since there is so much we would like to see and Dad hangs out in Chicago pretty regularly.
