This isn't our official 8 month picture (the ones with the cabbage patch dolls and our chair), but it was taken on our birthday. We'll post our official 8 month pictures tomorrow (7-2-08) now that the crazy tile and carpet men are gone. We have our house back again. Yeah!!!
Boy are we old! We are 8 months old today and excited to update you on everything that has been happening in our world. We are definitely getting bigger every month, but we don't have an official weigh in again until mid August. Mommy and daddy estimate that I weigh 21 pounds and Lily weighs 19 pound, but who knows if that is right. We are still good eaters and have yet to find a food we don't like. Daddy would disagree with us, he claims we hate turkey, but little does he know we have him fooled. We only cry when he feeds us turkey so that we can get more dessert. We can't trick mommy though which stinks! This month we tried carrots, turkey, peas, corn, chicken, mangos, spinach, and chicken noodle soup. Yummy!!! I am working my way out of all 9 month clothing, and wear mostly 12 month clothing now. Lily is still wearing 6-9 month clothes, although she is fitting into more and more 12 month outfits every day. We have learned a lot this month. Talking is our new favorite pastime, and we can now say "da-da". We don't 100% get what it means yet, but dad gets pretty happy when we say it. Lily cut her first two bottom teeth, but I am still toothless. I still think I'm pretty cute, but I can't wait to get a tooth of my own. Both Lily and I can now push up onto our hands and knees. We aren't always sure what to do once we get into that position, but we are slowly figuring it out. I have started crawling a bit, but I am still pretty inconsistent. I'm rolling around more, although not nearly as much as Lily. Lily discovered that she can crawl backwards. It is sort of like backwards army crawling, but it is working for her. We are still sleeping well, 10 to 12 hours a night, which keeps mom and dad happy. Life continues to be one great big adventure, and we hear this next month is going to be one of many more firsts. Stay tuned and we'll let you know what happens.
