No More Curls
A few weeks back I received the second haircut of my short life. No one really noticed considering I have crazy curly hair that seems to have a life of its' own. Today, Ryan got his haircut (he's had so many I can't count them on my ten little fingers), and it was quite noticeable. I wanted to do something special with mine too, and I think I succeeded! I went from curly whirly or twisty twirly to "Gigi hair" with a few quick pulls from Mommy's flat iron. Unfortunately, I had to take a bath shortly after so my "Gigi hair" disappeared, but it was fun while it lasted. Mommy promised me that in the far, far future I can straighten my hair as much as I'd like which is good enough for me here in our world!

The Elegant Farmer
We decided to take a chance on the weather today, and we met our friends, Kyra, Owen, and Will, at The Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago. We were able to take a hayride into the apple orchard, pick some apples, and make it inside for lunch just before the rains came. We climbed lots of ladders and trees, and filled our bellies with all different kinds of apples. Every time I turned around Lily was taking a bite out of a new apple so she may have eaten a bushel on her own. We dressed appropriately for the big game today as well, and good thing because pretty much everyone there had on their gear. Poor Lily was the lone Packer Fan amongst us kids, or what we referred to as the "bad apple", but Mom had her back so we had to be nice. We finished up lunch just as the rain clouds broke up and by the time we hit the road it was raining again and hasn't stopped since. We couldn't have timed our adventure any more perfect here in our world!

The Dentist
Today marked another first here in our world...our first dentist appointment. We've been to visit the dentist before, but today we were all alone in the chair with just Ms. Carol and Dr. Hafner. I think Mom was a bit worried about this adventure, but it was a piece of cake. I made Lily go first...I figured if she survived I'd be okay. Not only did we survive, but Dr. Hafner even walked me out when I was done to tell Mom how impressed he was by our behavior. That was before I threw a fit in the waiting room because Lily wouldn't share her orange ball. Dr. Hafner solved that problem though and I came home with two orange balls and an orange puzzle. I'm beginning to like this guy more and more! We both got labeled as having good teeth and we have no cavity watches to report, but Dr. Hafner warned us we won't have these teeth forever. He did talk to Mom about my thumb sucking, and although I've gotten better, Mom said it may be time to give it up for good. I'm not so keen on that idea, and I'm not sure I'm quite ready for such a big step. We'll just take a wait and see approach! In all of the craziness of trying to get out the door for our appointment, Mom forgot her camera, but Ms. Carol whipped out her iPhone and saved the day! Good thing, because we needed to document what a great adventure we had at the dentist! Say cheese!!!

Movie Night
Saturday night meant only one thing this week...movie night! We pulled out the couch, set up shop, and rented Rio for our enjoyment! All of our pillow pets, Pluto, bun-bun, seal, and a few random stragglers joined us for the night's festivities, and good times were had by all. We stayed up way too late and had to laugh ourselves to sleep. We tried to convince Mom and Dad that we should do this more often, but I think they can only handle it every once in awhile.

Put Me in The Zoo
After breakfast this morning, Mom asked if we wanted to go to the zoo. You all know we are creatures of habit, and we LOVE our structure, but who can resist an impromptu trip to the zoo?!?! We saw all of our favorites, and took in a few new sites along the way. Today's big adventure was the Butterflies Alive exhibit. It is ending next week and we had free tickets so we thought we should go. There were hundreds of butterflies flying all around us. Some even landed on people, which was not okay by me. Lily was hoping to have one land on her, but no luck there...she just couldn't sit still long enough. She had her chance too when a nice zoo lady tried to hand one off to her, but she suddenly decided against it. Oh well! I can't say I was upset when we had to leave the butterflies and I was excited to see all of the other animals. We visited the aviary, which is a bit stinky for me, but Lily taught me how to plug my nose so we made it through successfully. The lion roared at us today because he was protecting his three cubs. I tried to explain to him that Mommy wouldn't let us take them home, but he just wouldn't listen. I found a giant ice cream cone in the barn, and Mom let Lily and I feed the goats today since it was just us. What a good day, and Mom was happy because we asked again to have her take our picture. Oh how we LOVE the zoo here in our world!!!

Little Bakers
Today concluded our second week of 3K, and we are still having fun! Lily's favorite activity is still painting which she gets to do almost every day, and I love going outside to play. We are always trying new things though and today was no exception. We each got to make our own miniature apple pie to take home and bake with our parents. After eating some pie for dessert this evening, Mom declared us "Top Bakers" here in our world!

Almost Wordless Wednesday
It isn't often that we ask, but tonight, for some reason, I asked Mom to take our picture. She happily (and without hesitation) oblidged of course running as fast as she could to get her camera. The result...see above!

Welcome to 3K
And so it begins...Silly Lily and the Ridiculous Rhinoceros go to school! Today was our first official day of 3K (preschool or 3 year old kindergarten depending on what you call it). We woke up excited and pretty much stayed that way all day long. Mommy was able to drop us off in our classroom, but she quickly left. Our only comments to her while giving hugs and kisses were "I'll miss you" from Lily, and "See ya later, but you are coming back to pick us up right?!?" by yours truly. Our teacher, Mrs. Otero, quickly outlined the schedule for us, but I had to interrupt when after two activities she still hadn't mentioned snack. I simply said "I heard we eat here, when is snack?" She let me know that it was the third thing we'd do in our action packed morning. With that settled, we got down to business filling our 2 1/2 hours with reading, painting, making necklaces, making meatballs out of play dough, and playing on the playground. Who knew you could get so much accomplished in so little time. We were a little bummed when it came time to leave, but we enjoyed filling Mom in on all that we did and everything everyone else did as well. Lily exclaimed "I love school!" and I wanted to know if I could go to school for 0-0-1 hours (that's my way of saying 100). Mom said her goal was for us to love going to school...mission accomplished! Good thing because we heard we have 20 or so more years of this school thing left. Our first day of school was one amazing adventure here in our world!
