LionFest

We are still trying to make the most out of a canceled vacation, and with some begging we convinced Mom and Dad that a quick trip to LionFest in Thiensville was necessary for our own sanity. With Maxwell being quarantined it was a quick trip, but definitely one for the books since we scored the world's largest cotton candy and Mom and Lily rode the scariest death defying ferris wheel. Both of them exited the ride a little off balance and swore to never ride it again!

4th Graders No More

Today was our last day of fourth grade...let the summer shenanigans begin! After some mandatory photos this morning where I did not want Lily hugs we were off. We were on our own this year for the picnic as Dad is out of town and Mom is quarantined at home with Maxwell. Mom worked her magic though and with the help of a village of mom's we had lunch delivered, pictures with teachers, and afternoon playdates with rides home covered. After our canceled vacation and finding out that Mom was going to miss the picnic we were a bit bummed, but thanks to some amazing people's help we had a good end to the year!

Hand-Foot-and-Mouth Disease

Sometimes life throws us a curveball, and that happened yesterday when Max woke up with a fever that then turned into Hand-Foot-and-Mouth disease this morning. Yuck! He happily obliged to trying some essential oils for relief though!

Madison Field Trip

All of the Donges Bay 4th graders spent the day in Madison today, and Mom was lucky enough to be able to join us. We visited the Aldo Leopold Nature Center, the Wisconsin Historical Museum, and the state capitol. Each class had a little different experience with my class meeting our state representative, Jim Ott, and Lily's class got to vote on a bill. We ended the day up on the observation deck of the capitol building, and then boarded our coach buses for the journey home.

Donges Bay Yearbook Cover

I have been trying for a few years now to win the coveted yearbook cover contest. Every year I come so close, and this year I, Lily Rivera, finally did it!!! My picture was selected by both the student council and the teachers to be on the cover of Donges Bay's school yearbook! Yeah me!!!

4th Grade Art

This year less and less art projects made it home, but that doesn't mean we weren't busy creating a few masterpieces.

Dancing Through the Stacks

My 2018 recital is in the books. I was in three out of four shows this year so it was a crazy, hectic weekend to say the least! My eyelashes stayed on though and my three hair changes went off without a hitch so it was a success!
