Memorial Day 2016
Lily here! Since I don't get to comment all that much on here (and you know how hard it is to keep me quiet) I've decided to hijack the blog for at least this one post, and let you know about our adventures this past weekend. We spent the weekend up at the cottage, and despite the rain, we managed to have lots of fun! We squeezed in lots of paddle board rides in between rain showers, and even got stuck in a few downpours which really weren't that big of a deal if you ask me...more like sprinkles! Ryan finally got the courage to venture off on his own, and even stood up on his board which is a big deal for him. I think we had more fun falling off the boards this time around as it meant lots of swimming! I also entertained the group by singing at the top of my lungs "...the sun will come out tomorrow" while out on the lake. The rest of the weekend was filled with four wheeler rides, Yahtzee, the candy store, and eating ginormous strawberries. Life definitely isn't about waiting for the storm to pass as we discovered this weekend, it is about learning to dance in the rain!

Waste Management Wetlands Preservation
Today we all took part in Waste Management's Wetlands Preservation Day. All we were told was to come prepared to get dirty...that was an understatement as we trudged through muck and streams planting different native species. A little dirt never hurt anyone though so we jumped right in and enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Fore Milwaukee
While Lily was away this Rhino got to play! Lily had a playdate at Katelyn's after school so Mom and Dad took me down to Fore Milwaukee for a little golf. It is tough work hitting so many balls though!

Cubs Batting Practice
Dad surprised me with tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers/Chicago Cubs game tonight at Miller Park. We had access to the field and we're able to watch batting practice. They gave all of the kids lots of goodies too and I managed to snag a few extras for my sister and soon-to-be-brother.

Another Peek
We got to take another sneak peek of Bronco today inside Mom's tummy and all looked good. He weighs around 1 lb. 5 oz. and is measuring about a week ahead of schedule. This was a big appointment in that at this same point with us Mom was hospitalized and put on bed rest. I guess the third baby is the charm because no bed rest was prescribed! Let's just hope he is this cooperative for the next 17 weeks or so and once he comes out too!

Camp Silverbrook
Yesterday I embarked on an adventure with 17 of my friends and classmates for the annual Girl Scout camping trip at Camp Silverbrook. We of course got very little sleep which made for quite a fun night. I'm not sure Mom and the 8 other mom's who so graciously spent the evening with us appreciated our shenanigans, but we eventually fell asleep and let them get about seven hours of sleep. Our camp out consisted of hiking, making bug containers, roasting marshmallows, and inventing fashion shows just to name a few things. The 80 degree weather made it all the more fun, and this morning we woke up ready to go. We joined a few of the other grade levels for some field games as well which brought with it lots of laughs. It was a great experience, and I can't wait to do it again next year!!!
