These could be included with our January school art, but they were so much fun to make that we thought they deserved their own post. I wasn't too keen on taking my picture with my tongue out, and it took some convincing by my teachers, but I finally obliged and I'm so happy I did. Lily of course stuck her tongue out faster than anyone in the class since catching snowflakes is one of her favorite things to do. We decorated everything from our hats to our mittens, and then we got to display them proudly in our classroom for quite some time. With the way this winter is going this may be some of the only snow we get to catch here in our world!

Ryan's January School Art
Snowmen, owls, sleeping bears, marble paintings, ice paintings, snowflakes, angels, bears, the letter B, cardinals, and bird feeders were just a few of the fun things we did in the month of January.

Picture PERFECT
There are a few rare times when Lily and I get along perfect, and Mom just happened to capture the moment!

An Extended Christmas
This year Christmas was extended by a few weeks due to the craziness of our schedules. Gigi and Pop Pops came up for the weekend and it was like Christmas morning all over again! We both scored big, and I don't think I've ever seen Lily smile so big as when she opened her Barbie bride doll from Titi Molly, Uncle Craig, and Baby Marc. She had been so worried that she'd never get it because she had forgotten to tell Santa, but she did, and she exclaimed that there is "nothing" else that she now needs. Not sure I'd go that far, but hey, she's happy! I was pretty happy myself with my new Tag Reading System, Cars2 movie, and LeapPad game, not to mention my giant Mater truck that's big enough to sleep in. There were so many great presents that both of us were wondering why it is taking so long for next Christmas to get here!

Weird and Wacky Weather
It is January 6, and we live somewhere that typically has lots of snow and freezing cold temperatures. Not today! It hit 50 degrees today and we took full advantage of the beautiful weather. Mom loaded up our bikes, Wrigley, and us of course and we headed to the lake. We were so excited to just be outside that we rode our bikes for over an hour. We had to stop once the sun set, which was probably a good thing considering our legs were like jello and Lily wouldn't stop complaining about her sore behind. It was a great way to end the week here in our world!
