Gigi's Tomatoes

Gigi planted some tomatoes in a pot on the patio this summer, and they have provided us with endless entertainment. Mom has tried teaching us that we can only pick the red ones, but they all look red to us so we pick any that we can get our little hands on. We usually bite into each one we pick, and I'm really not sure why. I don't even like plain tomatoes, and Lily will only eat the half ripe ones. Gigi said it is almost time to say good-bye to the tomato plant so I guess we will have to pick all that we can before that time comes. Happy picking in our world!

Daddy and Pop Pop - Bargain Hunters

This past weekend, Daddy and Pop Pop went to a few garage sales in the hopes of finding a snow blower. Instead, they came home with a new play set for us that they got for FREE. They are quite the bargain hunters.

Bounce House Fun

Today we visited some of dad's old friends from college. They were reminiscing about the good old days, and then they looked around and realized that there were 9 1/2 kids there between the five of them (the 1/2 is for the one still in his Mommy's belly). Soon we kids are going to outnumber the grownups. I bet they never imagined that would happen. We spent most of the afternoon jumping in the bounce house. It was so much fun that we were hoping we could move in there while we waited for our house to be ready in Milwaukee. We love jumping around in our world!

One Last Swim

We snuck in one last swim in the pool before the weather cools down this year. If we're lucky we may get to swim again this summer, but chances are pretty slim that will happen. Not only is swimming fun, but we love watching the airplanes fly by and we always make sure to tell Mom what an airplane says just in case she forgets. We also love giving each other hugs and kisses and for some reason it is more fun when we are in the pool. We're swimming like fish in our world!

Potty Update #2

Don't let your eyes fool you, that is me, the Rhinoceros sitting on the big kid potty. I told you I'd come around one of these days and give it real shot, and today was the day. For the last few days I've been telling Mommy when I have to go poopy and I've agreed to sit on the potty. The problem is, I always chicken out before I actually go and I tell Mommy that I'm all done. Well today, I stayed strong, and I did it, I went poopy in the potty! I'm not really sure I meant to go, but I did, and it wasn't so bad. Mom and Dad got so excited afterwards, and I even got a cookie. Lily got in on the action too and she thinks I should go more often because she got half a cookie just for being there to witness the event. I think maybe she should earn her own cookie and put her own poop in the potty. I can't say too much though because she is still going pee-pee in the potty every now and then, and I haven't done that yet. Well, that's one more accomplishment in our world!

The Rivera Library

Mommy claims that we could open our own library due to the amount of children's books we currently own (the pictures only show about a quarter of what we have). We love having so many books though and we read at least 10 books a day if not more. It is our absolute favorite thing to do and we would get bored if we had to read the same book over and over. Don't get us wrong, we definitely have our routines, like reading The Deep Blue Sea before nap and we alternate between On the Night You Were Born and Goodnight Moon before bed. Other than those, we are willing and ready to read any book, and we are always open to suggestions. Feel free to throw some at us if you think you have something we may not have read. We are always looking for a good book in our world!

Milwaukee Here We Come

It is official, Mommy and Daddy bought a house, a farmhouse to be exact. The house is older than all four of us combined, even all five of us if you include Wrigley, but it has a lot of character, a great backyard, lots of updates, and tons of room for us to do what we do best, move! Mom and Dad already brought us there so we could test drive it, and we gave it five stars in our book. Come October the Wisconsin adventures will begin in our world!

More Twins

A few months ago we shared with you the crazy story about Mom's college roommate that had twins. Well today, a little over five months later, we finally got to meet the Rivero twins. Alyssa and George thought we were pretty cool and they couldn't take their eyes off of us so we felt it necessary to show them everything we could do. We managed to climb our way into their exersaucers and Lily almost made it into their jumperoo. I single handily ate four small ears of corn...this was only because I wanted to make sure they caught on though. We also enjoyed all of their other toys, which if we remember correctly we once had, but they seem to have disappeared. I wonder if we say please if our exersaucer will magically reappear??? Anyway, it was neat getting to see twins just like us, although we don't recall ever being that little. We're definitely going to have to fill them in on what to expect being a twin in our world!

Our Buddy

We headed up to Milwaukee today so Mom and Dad could check out what may be our new house. We spent the day with our buddy, Jack, and his parents. We of course made the most of our time, playing so hard that we slept the entire way back to Illinois. Jack is one fun kid to hang out with!

Brookfield Zoo

Today was Pop Pop's birthday so we all decided to pack into Mom's car and head to the Brookfield Zoo. I wasn't so excited about this decision, which some of the pictures may show, but I did manage to enjoy the giant playground and the goats. I thought I'd like the Dinosaur exhibit, but no one told me, that up close, those things are huge and scary. Carousels too, riding a giant gorilla is not my idea of fun. Lily enjoyed everything, especially the seals, so much so, that she fell asleep and missed the family picture at the end. Oh yeah, I forgot, I enjoyed lunch too, and Pop Pop introduced me to ketchup. Why Mom and Dad failed to do this sooner I will never understand?!? We survived another day in our world...roar!!!
